Access to a network of diverse dance artists, particularly established older creatives; a voice in our choreographic process; performance opportunities in venues across London and Hertfordshire, including prestige dance theatres. Share of the box office – ticket sales permitting. No rehearsal or theatre hire fees are charged to you.
Pre-requisites
You don’t have to be a trained dancer, but you should have experience of dancing. Key attributes are an open heart and an ability to embrace improvisation.
Terms and Conditions
We take a pragmatic and flexible approach to rehearsals and know that work and family responsibilities are realities. We expect you to be flexible too. Rehearsal dates and times are set by negotiation. In the making stage we expect to meet about once a week and to practice/prepare some work in our own time. In the perfecting stage we expect dancers to be available for a number of intensive days.
For performances, you must be able to bring an audience. We survive on ticket sales.
It is expected that you will maintain/develop your own dance practice through whatever means suits you – attendance at classes or workshops or the gym, for example.
